Jonathan’s Top 30 of 2015

My general perspective on metal has always been through the lens of good vs. evil, and I’ve tended to get a good mix of both sides into my metal diet, and 2015 certainly delivered a fair share of both. As with any list of greatest albums of any particular category, individual perspective makes for an […]
Top 30 Thrash Albums of 2015
Another year down, not enough moshing accomplished. This is the same issue I have every year and at this point, I’m not sure how much moshing is enough moshing. However, I did roll out and rank my top 30 thrash albums of the year to try and help out any other individuals that are suffering […]

Nathan’s Top 30

2015 was another excellent year. While there are some fairly obvious candidates for a top 30 I missed out on or discovered too late in the year (Nechochwen, and Obsequiae to name two) there was still plenty of good material out there this year. Here’s some of it:

Shawn’s Top 30 Albums of 2015

Another great year down. 2015 was one of the strongest in recent memory. My list is quite diverse this year, which just means that no subgenres really stood out among others this time around. As always, feel free to make recommendations in the comments or get in touch to discuss your favorites.
Ailo’s Top 30 Albums of 2015
In hindsight, 2015 has been a great year for metal. Bands from the underground, such as polish black metal insurgents Mgła and doom duo Bell Witch, have gained well-deserved wider attention, while old titans such as Acid King have made triumphant returns. We’ve lost some good ones, including Nunslaughter’s Jim Sadist and Motörhead’s Philty Animal Taylor, while […]
Neill’s Top 30 Albums of 2015
2015 was quite a strong year. A few welcome and incredible returns, as well as a few surprises. Admittedly, it was a difficult task coming up with a top 30 albums, and there was some good back and forth on here. However, as it stands now, this is where I am at. It is possible […]
Evan’s Favorite Records of MMXV
There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man’s fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is […]
